Staring out the window in the car, I

Half cried watching all the cars as they passed by

Tried to stare down and hide the fact that I was scared

I made a final prayer, it was no use

Because we both knew this was something that we’d have to go through

I just never thought that it would be so soon

Shit, I mean I’m only just getting to know you

We said goodbye, tears in our eyes

So young was I, didn’t know why

It’s like I felt a part of me that opened up

For that moment that we spoke and I closed it shut

And I know, it’s part of growing up

But I was only young, so the load was tough to overcome

Cos things have changed, I miss the way

You always seem to transport me to this blissful place

Where we drift away

And all the worries in the world would just dissapate

So, when I reach my final resting place

I don’t know if you’ll be there to open heaven’s gate

Or my ghost will just float off into empty space

Whatever end awaits, I hope I see my friend again

Until then, in my mind the time we shared just never fades

Although I was devastated when you went away
