Ignorance - The Snowdroppers

Im so tired of just sitting around,

With my heart in my throat and my stomach on a merry go round.

Tryna put together last night is such a bore,

I wonder what you had, now I’m not so sure.

We had a lot of fun in this playground,

Playing hide and seek with the truth and getting lost and found.

These days get hard when you’re not so young,

Tryna put a broken bottle back together is not much fun.

I know now ignorance is bliss,

You cant take the blame if you don’t know wrong from right.

You can’t un-learn a lesson, you can’t un-see a sign, we can’t undo what we did

last night.

Bloodshot eyes and breath that could scare a dog,

Memories are threatening to come back from the fog.

Nothing I can see in the mirror that will fix this mood,

Just a fool tryna put the toothpaste back in the tube.

Try not to make a sound that’ll wake you up,

What have I done in previous life to deserve such luck.

I’m like a gung ho bank robber, tryna make a getaway.

I’m always sweeping up leaves in the middle of a hurricane.

I know now ignorance is bliss,

And you can’t sheild your eyes from the glare of the morning light.

You can’t un-burn a bridge, you can’t un-explode a mine, we can’t undo what we

did last night.

How do we go back just like before.

How do I get myself out the door.

Ruin any chance, potential for romance,

I’ll see you on monday morningggggg.

I know now ignorance is bliss,

You can’t clear the air if you can cut it with a knife.

I can’t uninvite you over, I can’t undrink too much wine.

I can’t un-undo your underwear or un-declare my love for youuuu

Try as we mightt,

We can’t undo what we did last night.
