My indignation stands as a reminder

Of the countless times I have denied you

Crucified by my sinful life

Time and Time and time and time again

Pressing the crown upon your head

Forcing the spear through your flesh

The scorn of man the absence of God

The weight of humanity’s folly

Betrayal

So quick to condemnation

But in retrospect I see

All the things I hate the most

Lie dormant within me

Half hearted devotion

Unjust neutrality

Impure motivation

Blatant hypocrisy

I can’t bear to see the person Im becoming

Too critical for my own good, too jaded to see

Recreate me

Regenerate me

Blackened skies steer me from a path of misery

All my bitterness, all my fears, all my grief

All the things i keep in hiding, Insecurities

Fall down at your feet as you speak
