Awaken with you beneath the old oak tree

In death’s dream kingdom our eyes finally meet

Lost in the context of creation’s design

Illusion that we were ever alive

Come the cold mourning, the ritual of light

Suffering serves me, embrace what is mine

At one with the eternal, lost stars align

Return my rightful place at your side

I look to the moon as she drowns me in earth

Forever in darkness I wait

She sang me her song as I walked through the haze

Enchanted, bewitched and betrayed

Trapped in the paradox and horror of this life

Lost in creation’s design

Against all nature, her will to survive

In the illusion that we were ever alive

She had my consent as she told me her lies

As I lay on a bed of decay
