There was a lighthouse far from shore

I couldn’t reach it but I sure got closer

Sailing the waves, the moon grew larger

Lighthouse lit up the darkness more and more

You took me in like a breathe of life

Drawing me in light like magic

In and out, back and forth

Stars enough to count my worth

Guide me closer

Take me home

I’ve always been on my own

Closer home, closer home

On my own, on my own

You are my lighthouse far from here

I cannot see you but feel I do

Sailing those waves I’m back again

I never learned how to steer in darkness

You put me out like a candle flame

And reignited something new like magic
