I remember the day you came into my world

I picked you up, gave a kiss to my baby girl

We took you home and I stayed up all night

Watching over you, to make sure your all right

And I was young didn’t know what to expect

But it all came natural, you became my every breath

The reason that I live for, my hunger to achieve

And i’m always by your side, you know i’ll never leave

NO the early years weren’t easy with the revenue

But together we kept on and made it through

I tried to give u the childhood That I never had

Cuz of a war, when your older you’ll understand

Even though I came from a land far away

One day you will understand your fathers ways

Im trying to raise you to take pride and be strong

But when you need me, my shoulder you can lean on

AS i’m watching you grow into a young lady

You need to know at times the world can be crazy

Do your thing but think before you act

Stay away from drugs and drink cuz you don’t need that

It not cool and your friends might disagree

But you don’t need to be a follower don’t be a sheep

Be leader, follow your heart but bring your mind

Nothing is black and white, always read between the lines

And don’t worry about the he said, she said

Just treat others like how you want to be treated

Stay focused on your dreams and believe it

Pick yourself up and try again if your defeated

No shame, you win some and lose some

Keep it humble remember where you come from

And when i’m not around — it’ll be alright

You always do so much for us that i’m grateful

You came into my life to be my guardian angel

I’ll never unfaithful, my heart is yours

And any move that I make I keep you in my thoughts

We shared a lot of pain and tears over the years

But no matter what the weather together we persevere

And with my music you always support it

Even though I take time away from us to record it

And don’t ever stress about some groupie

Cuz no woman can compare to what you be

Your always there for me and for our daughter too

And that’s why to us I keep it loyal to

So no matter what might await down the line
