I felt better before,

I felt balanced,

One foot on the ground,

One foot in the door.

But these thoughts have been stealing my dreams from me.

Running between my ears without a leash,

No I won’t be beaten by nostalgia,

I’ll my chances with the future.

This generation gap,

Is all we’ve needed for so long to get on track.

Everyone I talk to seems to want greed,

But the change has begun.

Everyone that I meet is on a different wavelength,

United as one we could have the strength.

To once and for all put an end to it all.

In spite of what you have been told,

Waiting I stare at a half empty glass,
